Why not buy from Amazon?
Unlike big marketplaces, we provide personalized recommendations, project pricing, and post-purchase support.
Because commercial refrigeration is not a catalog purchase. We give you a specific model recommendation for your space and menu, project pricing on multi-unit orders, tax-exempt and invoice purchasing, and someone to call when a compressor acts up two years in. Marketplaces give you a listing and a return window. We also price match or beat any reputable retailer — so you are not paying for that support.
Yes. We support both new builds and mid-service replacements. For a new opening, send us your floor plan or equipment list and we will map out which units fit the space and the workflow, then quote the package together. For a replacement, tell us the model that failed and the footprint you need to match — most operators are working against a deadline, so we prioritize units we can dispatch quickly. Bulk and multi-unit project orders are supported, and we respond to quote requests within 24 hours. Start here: Request a Commercial Quote.
Yes — this is the part most operators get wrong on their own. Tell us three things: your available footprint (width × depth × height, plus door swing clearance), your menu and daily cover count, and whether you need reach-in, undercounter, or prep-table refrigeration. From there we recommend a specific model and capacity rather than having you guess from a spec sheet. Undersizing is the most common and most expensive mistake — a unit that runs at capacity all day fails years early.
Yes. Restaurants, schools, churches, and other tax-exempt organizations can purchase without sales tax — send your exemption certificate with your quote request and we will apply it before you pay. For invoice or PO-based payment on project and bulk orders, contact us at support@bitimexhome.com or (516) 710-5066 and we will set it up. We know foodservice purchasing rarely runs through a credit card at checkout.
Every unit includes a 2-year warranty on parts and labor and a 6-year warranty on the compressor — the compressor being the component that actually determines whether a commercial refrigerator lasts. We also provide free replacement parts, technical phone support, and door-to-door maintenance for the first 2 years. Full terms: Warranty & Return Policy.
Delivery is free nationwide within the continental US, and we dispatch quickly — replacement timelines are usually the tightest constraint our customers have. Commercial refrigeration ships by freight, not parcel. Before your unit arrives, confirm you have someone available to receive it and inspect the crate for damage before signing. If you have a specific in-service date, tell us when you request your quote and we will confirm whether we can meet it.
These units are built for indoor use only and require an ambient temperature between 42–110℉. That range matters more than most buyers expect — a unit placed next to a fryer line or in an unconditioned back room will run continuously, drive up your power bill, and shorten compressor life. Leave clearance around the compressor vents for airflow. Installing outdoors, or in conditions outside that range, may void your warranty.
A commercial refrigerator is built to hold safe temperatures under conditions a home unit is not designed for: doors opening dozens of times an hour, large volumes of warm product going in at once, and continuous operation. The differences are structural — heavier-gauge stainless construction, self-closing doors, a significantly more powerful compressor, and precise temperature control that recovers quickly after each door opening. A residential fridge in a commercial kitchen will struggle to hold food-safe temperature and will fail early. We cover this in depth in this article.
